Azure Profile Migration
Local Domain and Local Account to Azure Account Profile Remapping
Unfortunately the steps get renumbered in the wiki but there's 25 total steps and will take about 30-60 minutes depending on various circumstances.
- Connect to users machine (DON'T DO ANYTHING ON THEIR ACCOUNT)
- Sign into the local account - CTS_Local
- Join to azure - restart
- Sign back into CTS_Local
- Transfer Profwiz.config and User_Profile_Wizard_24.3_setup.exe onto CTS_Local desktop
- Run the installer for ForensiT Profile Wizard
- Move Profwiz.config into "C:\ProgramData\ForensiT\User Profile Wizard Corporate\Deployment Files" (See below image)
- Run Powershell Wizard (See above image)
- Run Save-AzureADUser.ps1
- Sign in as user
- Create a new project and name it whatever you'd like (I prefer company or user name)
- Select AzureAD and enter the name of the new domain (Name of company)
- Uncheck "Use Provisioning Package" - Should look exactly like the screenshot below
- Select no on step 6 for local account
- On step 8 - uncheck "use lookup file"
- On step 10 - use credentials local admin account - you should be signed into this account currently
- Steps 11-13 keep default
- Select yes on migration script has been created prompt
- Open Deployment folder
- Go back one step in file explorer to the deployment files folder
- Run profwiz.exe and keep it as local machine
- Select users local account
- Leave domain field as is and put the users O365 username in the account name field
- Finish prompt and it will say success if it ran successfully - This could take up to 5 minutes
- Sign out of local account
- Sign into users azure account - it will show a blue screen that says updating apps when they first log in.
- That's it. You're done.
